How Many Can You Do?

I came across an interesting fitness challenge on the web called Two Hundred Squats. All you need is thirty minutes a week to follow the program. 3 days a week you follow a schedule of squat sets and the idea is that you are strong enough at the end of six weeks that you can perform two hundred squats in a row. There is an initial test you must perform to gauge your current fitness level, simply do as many squats as you can. I jump off the couch, get into position, and...GO! I did 56. Not bad I thought. My heart rate is definitely raised, I can feel my legs burning. I pick up the laptop to see where I placed. Apparently I'm excellent! Anything over 49 is considered excellent, and I'm supposed to start the program at week 3. Awesome! Who knew! All those squats my trainer makes me do are actually paying off!

I'm definitely intrigued. I think I'll take the challenge. Squats are such an easy, do anywhere type of exercise with so many basic fitness benefits. I'll post my results here. There is even an iPhone app!

Try it for yourself! And let me know how it goes!

Stay Tuned...

Something coming to this space soon!

I'm trying to come up with ideas for what I want my blog to be. I've been perusing a TON of other people's blogs and getting a little discouraged! There are some seriously amazing blog writers out there! How can I ever achieve such greatness?!

Anyways, I think I have an idea. I'm going to try to execute it this week but my schedule is a little busy. Perhaps early next week I'll organize myself and get to work. So please keep coming back! I promise to try my hardest to grow this space into one you want to visit on a regular basis!

Welcome to my Blogosphere.

I've decided to start a blog. 140 characters or less on twitter isn't enough some (most) days, so instead of flooding my friends twitter feeds with useless chatter I now have my very own unlimited characters space. Not sure what I'll end up writing about, but I hope it's an interesting outlet! Read on at your own risk...
